Rolling Stone India's dynamic music series in partnership with Twitter and Tata Motors featured Parikrama and Dhruv Visvanath
After a successful first edition that took place in 2016 at Twitter’s Blue Room in Mumbai, #RollingWith returned as #RollingWithNexon. Conceptualized by Rolling Stone India in partnership with Twitter India and Tata Motors, the project featured two episodes””one each with New Delhi-based guitar maverick Dhruv Visvanath and rock veterans Parikrama, recorded live on February 12th and 14th respectively at the Auto Expo 2018 in New Delhi.
For the first episode, Visvanath joined Rolling Stone India’s Executive Editor Nirmika Singh in Tata Motors’ swanky new ride, Tata Nexon. He spoke about his first impressions of the car, his new album The Lost Cause and was also grilled in a fun rapid fire in which he was asked if he crashed his parents’ car, kissed in a car and drove without a license. The musician also joined Singh at Twitter India’s pop-up Blue Room at the Auto Expo for the live broadcast where he performed a few of his songs and professed his undying love for fast cars and his favorite football team Chelsea.

The second episode of #RollingWithNexon featured members from Parikrama who took the Tata Nexon for a spin and regaled Singh with exciting anecdotes from their early rock&roll years. Keyboardist Subir Malik, vocalist Nitin Malik and guitarist Saurabh Chaudhry looked back on their years””their first gig at IIT-Bombay in 1995 to performing at Rang Bhavan in Mumbai””even as they rated the Tata Nexon on its many features. The biggest highlight of the episode was the band’s performance at the Tata pavilion at the Auto Expo, which attracted a huge crowd that sang along to their tunes. Later, Subir, bassist Gaurav Balani and drummer Srijan Mahajan joined Singh for a candid conversation at the Blue Room.
