Watch Toehold’s Endearing Collaborative Media Project with DJ Aimix
One of India’s biggest travel-and-photography companies ties up with the 19-year-old Mumbai producer to deliver an intriguing ode to wildlife
Toehold, one of India’s leading travel-and-photography companies, has kicked off a campaign called TripToClick with a video that unites music and visual media to celebrate the wonders of nature.
Featuring some captivating footage of wildlife, mountains, monasteries, forests and glaciers, the video is an endearing ode to wildlife and culture.
The company’s keen interest in using music as a tool in storytelling—as well as co-founder Jayanth Sharma’s own background as a classical singer—led them to recruit Mumbai-based producer Lakshya Shrivastava, popularly known as DJ Aimix, for the project.
The 19-year-old producer created an intriguing fusion of Carnatic and trap for the video, adding delicate nature-inspired nuances while keeping the auditory cues subtle to highlight the powerful imagery.
Each clip in the “Trip To Click” video, shot by tour leaders at Toehold, showcases the several stunning locations the company has covered during their various guided excursions in India and around the world. Bears, baby elephants, dolphins and cheetahs are abundant, as they go about their lives in their natural habitats. Shrivastava is also the editor of the video.
The TripToClick project is part of Toehold’s ongoing endeavors to encourage people to travel to exotic destinations and create great images. The destinations are handpicked by Sharma and COO Sachin Rai, and include diverse and numerous locations both in India and overseas–from Kaziranga to Costa Rica, Kabini to Iceland, Corbett to Kamchatka, Bandhavgarh to Masai Mara, and Ranthambhore to Svalbard.
Toehold’s tours are led by Sharma and Rai themselves, who are multiple award-winning professional photographers, and a team of preeminent photographers from across the world.
