Watch TWICE Shimmer Under the Stars in ‘The Feels’
The latest single release will be followed by the group’s third full-length album in November, plus an upcoming tour
Reviving the allure of the Nineties, South Korean hitmakers TWICE have released their first official all-English single, “The Feels.”
Stylized with a retro concept, “The Feels” draws its inspiration from the upbeat era of disco-pop with synth-percussion and infectious guitar riffs. Singing about the exuberant feeling of love at first sight, “The Feels” is peppy, positive and lively; “Cause I can feel a real connection / A supernatural attraction / I got the feels for you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.”
The music video opens with an invitation slid under the door (a visual the audience last saw during the single’s promotional phase.) Upon opening the invite, the group realize it is an invite to their annual prom, and immediately jump into preparations. Getting glammed up in a large, walk-in closet, TWICE sing and dance all the way to the grand night.
“The Feels” concludes on an exciting note with a poster announcing the group’s upcoming activities. Kicking things off on a celebratory note, will be the group’s upcoming sixth anniversary week followed by the release of their third full-length album in November. With live shows gradually making their return, TWICE will soon hit the road with their fourth tour– details of which are yet to be released.
While “What You Waiting For” (the B-side on TWICE’s 2019 Japanese album, &Twice) was the group’s first original English track, “The Feels” is TWICE’s first official English single. In the past, the girl group has also released two English versions of their Korean tracks “More and More” and “I Can’t Stop Me.”
