The second edition of rock and metal festival Bandland announced its lineup for the 2024 edition, taking place on Nov. 23 and 24 in Bengaluru. Here are a few of the must-see acts.

With songs like “Cosmic,” “Hail To The King” and Grammy-nominated song “The Stage,” the Southern California metallers have solidified their place as stalwarts of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal.

Beyond their hit ballad “More Than Words,” there’s a funk metal glory that permeates most of Extreme’s catalog and you can hear it on “Get The Funk Out” from 1990 all the way to their latest song “Banshee” in 2024.

While difficult to pin down to a singular sound, there’s plenty of dance-y rock and futuristic sounds hear from the U.K. band, best heard on songs like “Distant Past” and “Cold Reactor.”

At Bandland 2024, expect to hear fan-favourites like “Ari Ari,” “Machi Bhasad” and “Gaddaar” that blend traditional flutes, tumbi and dhol with metal growls and rap vocals, plus a tease from their upcoming second album.

In action for more than 20 years now, the go-to band for metal in India will likely bring the gnarly intensity of songs from their self-titled album (2009) and Man (2014) but also anthemic power on songs like “Just A Metal Kid” and “Shoreline.”
