The group says in a joint statement, “Being part of Jenseits von Nelken und Pralinen is more than just a performance for us—it’s a statement. Hip-hop has always been a space for storytelling and resistance, and as women from India, we’re bringing our own stories of strength, struggle, and sisterhood to a global stage. We hope our music sparks conversations and connects with audiences beyond borders.”
A press release from the all-female hip-hop collective adds, “Being part of a festival that highlights feminist voices from around the world is a significant moment for Wild Wild Women. The collective sees hip-hop as a powerful tool for resistance and storytelling, making this an important platform to share their music and message with audiences in Germany.”
In Berlin, Jenseits von Nelken und Pralinen festival takes place at Club Gretchen, with Wild Wild Women performing alongside Catalonia, Spain’s percussion group Escandalera, German artist Gigolo Tears, French beatboxer, composer and singer Prichia and more. The festival will also be livestreamed on Mar. 7, 2025.
Wild Wild Women are marking International Women’s Day in a truly global manner, on the back of performing across India, including Orange Festival of Adventure and Music in Arunachal Pradesh, SpokenFest in Mumbai and gaining international fame via snippets of performances on their Instagram.
