Enjoy the greatest hits of American trumpeter and jazz hero Louis Armstrong with Louis Armstrong’s Greatest Hits released by Sony BMG in 1997. The eleven track album features some of his finest compositions like “Basin Street Blues” and “West End Blues” and has some rare recordings of Armstrong’s songs. While the original recordings were produced by George Avakian, the reissue has been produced by Nedra Olds-Neal. Armstrong’s band on the album features the original All Stars with Jack Teagarden on trombone and Barney Bigard on clarinet and features Armstrong’s vocals on almost every track.
