Wonho Transforms into a Teen Heartthrob in ‘Blue’

The singer-songwriter makes a breezy comeback with his second EP ‘Blue Letter’

Sep 14, 2021

South Korean soloist Wonho embraces the cool sounds of summer in his latest release “Blue.” Leading his second EP Blue Letter, the video for the track sees the vocalist play the role of a high-school football player smitten by his love interest.

Written and composed by Wonho, the retro dance pop track builds its foundation on a mix of synth percussion-bass beats, giving the track a nostalgic feel. Expressing his insatiable feelings, Wonho keeps his confessions unfiltered: “Darling I can’t get enough, higher up above/ Everyday like déjà vu, yeah I’m addicted.” Marked by flowing freestyle moves, the chorus draws a parallel between the depths of the ocean and Wonho’s love, “Can you feel the blue?/ We can feel it everywhere/ Just you and me together/ Deep inside the blue.”

Sung in both English and Korean, “Blue,” joins a line-up of six additional tracks on the vocalist’s latest EP Blue Letter. Credited as writer or producer on all tracks except “Intro: Seasons and Patterns,” Wonho leaves a part of his artistry in “No Text No Call,” “Come Over Tonight,” “24/7,” “Blue (English Ver.)” and “Stranger.”
