Wu-Tang Clan have announced they will be releasing a new EP inspired by Of Mics and Men, the four-part Showtime docuseries on the hip-hop group that premiered last week.

The EP will be released on Friday, on the same day Part Two of the docuseries airs. “You’ve seen Episode 1/ Wu documentary by now (and if you haven’t, what were you doing last weekend), now listen to the music inspired by the series,” the group tweeted. “On Friday, we’re coming with a new Wu-Tang EP from @36ChambersALC and Mass Appeal, so let your boss know you’ll be in late to work.”

The new set marks the outfit’s first publicly available project since 2014’s A Better Tomorrow and 2017’s Wu-Tang-billed The Saga Continues, which does not feature U-God. Their 2015 one-copy-only Once Upon a Time in Shaolin that was billed as a Wu-Tang Clan LP (and disputed by several members in the docuseries) was bought by convicted “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli.

In October, Hulu also announced a 10-episode series based on the group called Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Wu-Tang Clan are in the midst of their tour marking the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), which kicks off its North American leg on May 31st at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
