Xzibit Makes a ‘Pimp My Ride’ Return in Cut ‘SNL’ Skit: ‘Don’t Drive That Car’

Jacob Elordi plays a janitor whose car broke down in the silly Please Don't Destroy video

MTV, this is your sign to bring back your old programming!

On Monday, Saturday Night Live released a hilarious “cut for time” sketch playing off the MTV classic reality show, Pimp My Ride. Host Jacob Elordi appeared in the sketch as a Russian janitor whose car broke down, prompting Please Don’t Destroy boys to want to help by “fixing” his car. And to make the throwback show reference feel even more nostalgic, the Pimp My Ride host himself, Xzibit, made a hilarious cameo.

The clip opens with Elordi, playing a janitor named Sergei, cleaning the hallways of 30 Rock after sharing that his car broke down. The comedian trio — Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy — then surprise him with a supposed new version of his beat-up van.

In classic Pimp My Ride fashion, the van was transformed into “a trash wagon” with a new set of seemingly useless features, including a crockpot center console, Swiffer Wet Jets on the front bumper, and DVD players instead of side-view mirrors. “For what purpose!” asks Elordi.

Xzibit then makes an appearance on one of the installed LCD screens. “What’s up, guys? Xzibit here,” he says. “I wanted to let you know, whatever you do, don’t drive that fucking car!”

Elordi grabs the key to turn on the engine before the car’s motor explodes, and a rolling credit reveals that the janitor sued the trio and Xzibit for 50 million dollars.

“I am in no way associated with any of this shit,” Xzibit says at the end of the video.

Elordi was the guest host for the first Saturday Night Live episode of the year, while Reneé Rapp performed “It’s Not My Fault” with Megan Thee Stallion, along with her track “Snow Angel.”

Pimp My Ride, hosted by Xzibit, aired on MTV for six seasons between 2004 and 2007.
