A year after they made their live debut at the Ziro Festival of Music in Arunachal Pradesh in 2013, Delhi-based alt rockers Yesterdrive returned to the venue in September and walked away proving why they’re one of the best new bands to come out of the North East. They surge and go slow on their six-track debut offering, catchy guitar hooks on “Voices,” dance-y drums on “Hold On,” and a dose of synth goodness on “Sweet Green Emotion.” After gigs across the country, they’ve shaken off any signs of lacking that shiny indie rock lustre and are well on their way to sounding big and ready for any stage.
