Zendaya Responds to AI Wedding Photos With Tom Holland: ‘Many People Have Been Fooled’

The interview comes after the actress’s stylist told reporters the couple was already married

Zendaya addressed the recent viral photos depicting her apparent wedding with Tom Holland, confirming that “they’re AI.” The actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote her new film, The Drama, which co-stars Robert Pattinson, and was forced to contend with the recent rumors.

Earlier this month, Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, told Access Hollywood, “The wedding has already happened,” adding, “You missed it.” Zendaya did not acknowledge whether this was true, but she did respond to Jimmy Kimmel’s queries about the photos that circulated of their supposed ceremony.

“I’m sure you know the internet has gone berserk with stories that you might actually be married to Tom,” Kimmel said.

“Really?” Zendaya quipped. “I haven’t seen any of them.” Kimmel then asked about the AI wedding photos of her and Holland.

“Many people have been fooled by them,” Zendaya responded. “While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, ‘Oh, my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous,’ and I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real.’”

She added that “many people” close to her thought they were real and were mad they didn’t get an invite.

A source confirmed Zendaya and Holland’s engagement to Rolling Stone in January 2025 after the actress walked the Golden Globe red carpet, showing off what appeared to be an engagement ring on her left hand. The couple went public with their relationship in 2021 after first starring together in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017.

At the Oscars on Sunday, Roach was asked if he wanted to clarify any of the comments he made about Zendaya and Holland’s supposed wedding. “No, I said what I said,” the stylist responded.

In The Drama, in theaters April, Zendaya and Pattinson play an engaged couple who begin to spill their secrets right before the wedding, which threatens to derail their relationship.

“What’s difficult about even talking about the movie is there is so many different genres,” Zendaya told Kimmel. “It is a romantic comedy in many ways, but it’s also a drama. Everybody has their own kind of feelings leaving the theater, especially with the big twist. There’s so many conversations that are had after you watch it. It’s one of those things where I really hope that people don’t spoil it for each other so they’re allowed to go into it just unknowing and really experience the drama.”

She added of shooting the Spider-Man movies with Holland, “It’s such a huge part of our story, obviously, and we grew up making those films. And it’s such a privilege to be able to do them. And I know Tom cares so much about the role and doing it justice.”
