After making appearances at Download Festival in the UK and CounterPoint Festival in the US, Zippo Encore is now making its way to the country as a new live music event series which intends to support the growth of India’s live music scene. Organized by ROLLING STONE India and Zippo, the first edition of the festival will be held on October 31st with performances by three of the hottest electronica acts in the scene right now including Donn Bhat, Madboy/Mink and Shaa’ir and Func.
Electro rock artist Donn Bhat released his latest album Passenger Revelator this month, after an eight-year sophomore slump, and the artist promises that audiences can expect a series of special guests and surprise performances at his upcoming gigs. Electro swing duo Madboy/Mink have been touring extensively this past year, making appearances at Ziro Festival of Music in Arunachal Pradesh and the Red Bull Tour Bus in Mumbai and are currently in the middle of a 12-city tour of the country. Headliners, electro pop act Shaa’ir and Func,  released their fourth album Re:cover earlier this year, made it to our cover this month and have their next album slated for November.
The build-up to the finale featured artists such as alt rock act Ankur & The Ghalat Family and progressive rock band Coshish in Pune earlier this month.
