11 Best Desi BTS Memes

From Bollywood fusions to the dankest of desi humor, here are some memes by Indian BTS fans we can't stop laughing at

Published by

After our latest story about BTS sparked a meme party of sorts on our Twitter page, we decided to compile some that we’ve loved seeing over the past few months. The Indian division of the group’s fanbase ARMY keep it sharp, serving everything from Bollywood fusions to the dankest of desi memes to grab the South Korean pop group’s attention and entertain us all while doing so.

Here are some of our favorites.

Daler Mehndi has been a staple presence in the BTS meme scene ever since the group’s leader RM brought up the Punjabi singer’s mega-hit track “Tunak Tunak Tun” in our September 2017 cover interview.

Other times it’s a mission to unite South Korea and India’s song-and-dance cultures, so naturally Bollywood gets involved

Adding Hindi dialogue makes it all even funnier.

Local memes like the infamous “Nagar palika” aren’t forgotten

And a lot of things get found in translation before they get lost

Like really found.

Fans often beg BTS to add India to their world tour schedules

And definitely aren’t afraid of (playfully) roasting the band when it doesn’t happen

Indian dramas of course are never exempt

And nor is product placement.

Nothing, however, beats the meme that started it all on our first interview with BTS
