The BUDx North Stage was the Crowning Glory at Magnetic Fields Festival 2022
Label showcases from Four Tet, Hamza Rahimtula and Hessle Audio ruled the immersive setting in the packed and pulsing courtyards of Alsisar Mahal
If Magnetic Fields Festival has a beating heart, it’s likely situated at the BUDx North Stage in its host venue of Alsisar Mahal in Rajasthan. Between December 9th and 11th, Budweiser became the catalyst for the comeback edition of the arts and culture festival, strengthening a partnership that has always promised top-notch music from some of the best-known names in the world.
The BUDx North Stage gives a unique vantage point for both, the artist and audience and that was immediately evident at Magnetic Fields – the courtyard was wide and visuals were mapped onto the palace’s ornate walls and windows. For everyone who wanted an immersive experience driving the music and of course, the most colorful and enviable photos and videos from the festival, the BUDx North Stage provided just that. For the DJs and producers who took to the stage, it gave one of the best views of a unified festival audience, moving like one unit.
The lineup for the BUDx North Stage was particularly geared towards labels that shape the present and future of electronic music. Windhorse Records’ label founder Hamza Rahimtula, took energy levels to new highs while U.K. DJ-producer Four Tet aka Kieran Hebden brought in his curated performance titled Four Tet Presents: Four Tet, Chloe Robinson, Anthony Naples and Rahimtula. The BUDx North Stage also brought in Hessle Audio’s founders Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound, packing in the best, madcap cuts from 15 years in the business. Saoirse closed the stage on the final day, becoming the first female artist to do so.
The BUDx North Stage fulfilled its promise of being the festival focal point, something that has been its legacy from 2015 onwards. Till 2019, Magnetic Fields Festival has called on the likes of Daphni, Spacejams, Aqua Dominatrix Floating Points and several more to captivated audiences.
