Be Part of our Cover Story: Join the #PrideIssue Discussion with Harish Iyer, Dutee Chand, Anjali Lama, Sushant Divgikr and Durga Gawde
The forthcoming June issue puts LGBTQ+ conversations at the front, featuring artists and pathbreaking persons from the community
To effectively tell the stories of India’s diverse and indefatigable LGBTQ+ community for Pride Month, Rolling Stone India is taking a whole new approach to its cover story. The editorial campaign throughout June will include conversations and art showcases, as well as interviews and shining the spotlight on music and popular culture figures in the country who have strengthened the cause.
Our June 2020 cover story will be a public discussion between (virtual) attendees and our five cover stars – Olympic athlete Dutee Chand, Indian model/actor and singer-performer Sushant Divgikr, artist and educator Durga Gawde, model Anjali Lama and rights activist Harish Iyer. An event that’s open to all, the cover story conversation will be broadcast on June 13th at 4 pm via Zoom, with ticket sales from the livestream going towards the long-standing Humsafar Trust’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
From India’s rising track star (Chand), a former Mr. Gay India (Divgikr) and a longstanding activist (Iyer) to a visionary artist and drag king (Gawde) and one of the world’s instantly recognizable transgender models (Lama), amongst the focuses of the conversations will be inclusivity as well as challenges.
Tune in to the conversation by registering for tickets on Insider.in, which are free or placed as donations with added incentives, at Rs 199 (for a social media mention), Rs 299 (includes a six-month subscription to Rolling Stone India), Rs 499 (includes a one year magazine subscription), Rs 1,000 (for a virtual meet and greet with any one of the speakers) and Rs 2,000 (for a framed cover of the Pride issue, plus all of the above perks).
Stay tuned for more as we celebrate Pride Month at RS.
