Exclusive Stream: Producer/Gamer Trix’s Sax-Infused Chill Track ‘Keep Me Up’

The New Delhi artist follows up his buoyant, tropical comeback song "Be With You"

Keeping up with his streak of releasing new music, 20-year-old New Delhi-based tropical, chill and electronic producer Trix aka Sanjog Bhushan is out with a radiant track called “Keep Me Up.” You can hear the song a day before its official release below.

Following up his December release “Be With You” — which marked a comeback of sorts after being away from releasing music for over a year — Trix pulls together wafting synth lines, a memorable vocal hook from John Redmond and a refreshing saxophone lead from Switzerland-based Alex Schneider. Bhushan describes the track as one that “moves around a lot of beach vibes, happy moods and energetic feelings, with the message being simple — to always be happy regardless of what happens.”

The release marks the second Trix collaboration with Schneider, who previously joined in on the 2018 track “Sleeping In.” Bhushan says about including saxophone on the song, “I just had empty spaces between the vocals and instrumental. I was just listening to my previous tracks, for example [2018 song] ‘Spaces Between Us.’ That’s when it clicked [that] I needed a sax on this. I quickly sent this to Alex and like always, he sent back something really cool and upbeat that matched really well and tropical with the mood and vibe of the track.”

Also a professional gamer specifically in first person shooter Call Of Duty, Bhushan has a lot more music coming up through 2021, with an expansive friends list of collaborators ready to hop on a track whenever he deems suitable. The sound will likely remain in the realm of tropical music. He adds, “Soon, I might even start collaborating with well-known Indian bands and solo artists.” Although he had time away before, Trix won’t “ghost out for another year or two” according to the producer, who promises regular releases.
