Franz Ferdinand Plan Summer Release for New Album
LP is titled ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’
Franz Ferdinand will release their fourth studio album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action on August 27th in the U.S. and August 26th in the U.K. on Domino, NME reports.
The Scottish quartet, who broke out with their 2004 hit “Take Me Out,” recorded the new LP at frontman Alex Kapranos’ home studio in Scotland, guitarist Nick McCarthy’s Sausage Studio in London and during sessions in Stockholm and Oslo.
According to a press release, the follow-up to 2009’s Tonight will feature a handful of “interesting” collaborations, though no names were given. It was recently reported, though, that Roxanne Clifford ”“ of the fuzz loving indie-pop group Veronica Falls ”“ was set to appear as a guest vocalist.
Franz Ferdinand debuted a handful of cuts during a recent intimate gig at the Glasgow venue Nice ”˜N’ Sleazy. Below you can check out the tracklist for Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions, as well as a trailer for the album, which finds the band jolting out of bed to the peppy dance pop of “Right Action.”
