#HeyMrDJ – April Picks ft Martin Garrix ft Zedd, Royksopp ft Astrid S and More

With 2022 in full swing and COVID restrictions further loosening in most parts of the world, there seems to be full-fledged club renaissance happening and we couldn’t be more elated about this.
March had its fair share of killer new singles from big established EDM acts like Martin Garrix and Zedd coming together for the hypnotic “Follow” while yesteryear mainstays Royksopp came soaring back with a little vocal help from Astrid S with the majestic “Breathe.”
Phantoms continued to tease us as they prep the arrival of their next full set with “Firepit,” a slow-burn electro jam that has the potential to crossover from the clubs to radio to, thanks to the mesmerizing vocals by Big Wild.
Tensnake takes inspiration from his own set, and thankfully gets around to recreating one of my favorite tracks of his ever “Latching Onto You.” The original landed in the Top 10 of my AV’s Top 100 of 2020. This sensual single featuring vocalist Nazzareene moves us from its original groove straight to the dancefloor now.
March also gave us some killer remixes courtesy of DJs as varied as Fort Romeau, who give their own spin to Hayden James’ “On Your Own” and Mario da Ragnio, who gives us a whole new world to enjoy El Mukuka’s “Do It Again” featuring Youngr. We also get to enjoy a remix by Nora En Pure for Dom Dolla and Mansionair’s “Strangers” and Roosevelt’s remix of “FOREVER” by Flight Facilities featuring BROODS.
From SNBRN to Le Youth, the month spun a web that incorporated every subgenre of EDM this month. Some notable up and coming DJs also got their shining moment – most notably Manoova, Zexnum and TWOBUZZ.
