Kryptos is a old school heavy metal band from Begaluru formed in 1998. Since this four-piece band began, they have had a number of changes in their line-up with their current line up consisting of Nolan Lewis (Vocals, Rhythm guitar), Rohit Chaturvedi (Lead guitar), Ganesh Krishnaswamy (Bass), Anthony Hoover (Drums) Former members include Ching Len (drums), Akshay Patel (guitars), Ryan Colaco (Drums), Jayawant Tewari (Bass). They have released three albums since they began – Spiral Ascent (2004), The Ark of Gemini (2008), The Coils of Apollyon (2012).
In April 2006, Kryptos signed with Old School Metal Records from California, U.S. and became one of the first metal bands from India to be signed by an international label. They opened for metal legends, Iron Maiden at Rock’n India in 2009. They have been seen on several international stages and became the first Indian metal band to complete a cross country tour of Europe, playing at the Rockmaraton festival in Hungary and the In Flammen Open Air festival in Germany in 2013. They began 2012 supporting folk/melodic death metal band Suidakra and German thrash metal band Kreator at the inaugural edition of the Bangalore Open Air in June.Â
