Monsta X Plan a Heist in the Thrilling Music Video for ‘Gambler’

South Korean pop group Monsta X return with a riveting music video for their latest comeback, “Gambler.” The track is the lead single off their latest EP, One Of A Kind. Stakes run high as the sextet pull off a heist against an explosive arrangement of synth. 

Characterized by powerful electric guitar riffs and dark synth, “Gambler” displays the group’s seasoned familiarity with blending EDM and engaging vocals. Written by Monsta X members I.M and Joohoney alongside South Korean singer-songwriter, Jooyoung, Laser, and Ye-Yo!, “Gambler” is a metaphorical piece that maps attraction against the deceiving nature of gambling. 

The music video opens with Joohoney interrogating unidentified individual as he sings, “If you don’t know, now you know/ Okay? deal!” What follows next is a gripping storyline showing each member preparing for a grand heist. The chorus displays the group’s synchronized movements with I.M and Hyungwon matching the powerful synth sounds with their raspy vocals as they sing, “My suit is black, my suit is fresh/ Opеn my pack, let me show you how I bang/ If you did All in, you win the gamе/ As soon as you work, the sales are already in a race/ What you do (what you do), they don’t know what you do/ I hold you in my hand, my poker face.” The music video wraps up on an electric note with the group succeeding in their plan–with a surprising twist.
