The two-day event at Vikhroli Social includes performances by Peter Cat Recording Co., Parvaaz, Dualist Inquiry and others
Music festival season isn’t quite done yet and they’re certainly getting more diversity. SAUCE – a new two-day festival by venue and F&B chain Social – will take place on April 9th and 10th at their Vikhroli outlet, taking up space in the adjoining open-air area, The Trees by Godrej.
Electronic musicians, rock acts and hip-hop artists join a total of over 20 performers, including Peter Cat Recording Co. from New Delhi/Goa, Bengaluru quartet Parvaaz, electronic producer Dualist Inquiry’s live set, plus DJ-producer Arjun Vagale debuting his new concept album, Exit Fragments. Indie artists include Hyderabad singer-songwriter Peekay, Bengaluru trio Cinema of Excess, producer-singer Noni-Mouse, singer-drummer combo Perp and Linformation, and more.
The hip-hop spectrum is covered by Azadi Records’ heavy-hitters and newcomers, featuring Mumbai producer-rapper Tienas, Kashmiri rappers Ahmer and SOS (Straight Outta Srinagar), Aizawl-bred Jelo, New Delhi’s Rebel 7 and producer Zero Chill. Also on the bill are seasoned scratchmaster DJ Uri, BLUnt, Paper Queen, and Yashraj and Friends.
The packed music line-up is just one side to SAUCE. The festival will also showcase art, crypto and fashion. An art garden will feature works by visual artists Aaquib Wani, Santanu Hazarika, Zake and others. A curated marketplace offers another shopping spot for fashion, while the festival also makes an imprint in the world of Web3 with a Crypto Jam curated by NFT platform Lemonade Social. NFT drops are linked to buying festival tickets, while panel sessions and workshops by artists like Sajid Wajid Shaikh and beatboxer Abhishek Bhaskar will also take place.
A two-day pass for SAUCE is currently priced at ₹2,950, and a single day pass costs ₹1,770.
SAUCE by SOCIAL and Johnnie Walker Non-Alcoholic Refreshing Mixer takes place on April 9th and 10th from 3 PM to 10 PM at Vikhroli SOCIAL, The Trees, Godrej Properties, Mumbai. Get tickets here.
