Premiere: Sidharth Nair Roams the Irish Coast in ‘Falling For You’ Video
Chennai-origin singer-songwriter moved to Limerick in 2022
Chennai/Limerick singer-songwriter Sidharth Nair plays to his strengths to write “Falling For You,” a tender and soothing love song that gets deep. The slow-paced, atmospheric song comes with a music video set in the coastal town of Howth in the Republic of Ireland.
The song marks Nair’s first release since 2021’s “Until You Found Me.” In the time that’s passsed, Nair has moved from Chennai to study in Limerick. He says about the song, “‘Falling for You’ captures the essence of heart’s vulnerability and the exhilaration of new love. With its soulful melodies and evocative lyrics, the song delves into the intoxicating experience of falling for someone and the rush of emotions that accompanies it.”
Nair describes the song as indie pop with guitar riffs by Matt Turtle and lush harmonies making it both intimate and expansive, with production credits coming from Allan and Parishrut, plus audio engineer Himanshu Shirlekar in Dublin, who recorded, mixed and mastered the song. He adds, “The lyrics paint a vivid picture of the hopeful, sometimes daunting, journey of discovering deep affection and the transformative power of romance.”
The video, shot by Gurkirat Sidhu, is edited by Rohit and sees Nair roam the picture-perfect locales. Nair said on Instagram ahead of the song release that he’s spent the past year traveling and “soaking in every moment and “reflecting on all the experiences in a space far away from home.” He added in another post in August, “Took a while to get back at it while life was busy humbling me down but we cooked up this chill track with my brother Himanshu Shirlekar and Matt Turtle at our place a few months ago.”
