Formerly known as Medusa, Sky Rabbit is an electro/post-punk band from Mumbai. Formed in 2005 as Medusa, the band ”“ comprising Raxit Tewari (vocals), Rahul Nadkarni (guitar, samples), Siddharth Shah (bass) and Harsh Karangale (drums) ”“ changed their name to Sky Rabbit in 2011. Their songs deliver a mellow sound with a powerful guitar and impressive vocals. Their debut album, Survival Of The Fittest, (as Medusa) was self-released in 2005. Their self-titled album, Sky Rabbit, was released in 2012 by Virgin EMI and was well received, bringing in a nomination for Rock Album Of The Year award at GIMA [Global Indian Music Academy Awards] in 2012. They released their first EP and third release, the five-track Where. The band has performed at the NH7 Weekender in 2011 in Pune, Live from the Console in Mumbai, Ziro Festival of Music in Arunachal Pradesh, Ragasthan in 2012 in Jaisalmer and India Bike Week 2012 in Goa. They were also one of four bands chosen in 2008 to British record producer John Leckie for the Indian compilation, Soundpad.
