Steven Wilson Announces Four-City India Tour This November

The alt/prog artist and Porcupine Tree founder will hit Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Bengaluru

British artist Steven Wilson is returning to India on a four-city tour this November, on the back of releasing his new album The Overview.

The 57-year-old artist and founder of prog veterans Porcupine Tree will perform in Mumbai on Nov. 2, in Delhi NCR on Nov. 5, in Kolkata on Nov. 7 and close with a show in Bengaluru on Nov. 9, 2025. Organized as part of ticketing platform SkillBox’s LiveBox gig series, tickets will go live on Apr. 12 at 12 PM. Limited early birds will be available exclusively on the SkillBox app. Venue details will be announced at a later date, according to the promoters.

The artist first visited India with Porcupine Tree in 2009, headlining cultural festival Mood Indigo’s Livewire at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. Then, he performed his solo sets for the first time in India in 2016 – at NH7 Weekender in Pune and Shillong, plus the Backdoors festival in Bengaluru—and has been expected back ever since then.

Wilson told Rolling Stone India in a video interview in 2021, “I always love coming to India. When I say always, I’ve only been there twice—once with solo band and once with my band—I had such a great time and it’s one of those things where I always look forward to coming to India and meeting the Indian fans. I really hope that’s going to happen in the next couple of years, so fingers crossed.”

Steven Wilson The Overview Tour India 2025 dates and cities.

Steven Wilson’s The Overview Tour India 2025 is part of his larger run of shows across Europe and the U.K., on the back of releasing a sprawling, distinctively dark album like The Overview. It also marks his first solo tour in seven years, considering Porcupine Tree’s reunion in 2021 and their album Closure/Continuation took centerstage in recent years. Nevertheless, Wilson stayed prolific as a solo artist, putting out albums like The Harmony Codex in 2023, The Future Bites in 2021.

Wilson said in a statement at the time of announcing his Europe tour dates, “The Overview Tour will be an audio-visual experience based around a forthcoming new release of the same name: a space-themed album that features just two very long pieces. I’ll also be playing music from The Harmony Codex for the first time as well as songs from all of my previous records. I’m incredibly happy to be performing again with my inspirational solo band, and we have a lot of lost time to make up. I look forward to seeing you at what will be an epic evening!”
