After spending a few years becoming regulars in the European and North American metal touring circuit, Mumbai-bred act Systemhouse33 were among those acts biding their time due to the pandemic causing havoc for live gigs. The death/thrash metal-informed band are now out on a massive European tour supporting Brazil-origin thrash act Nervosa and Swiss heavy metallers Burning Witches on the Double the Metal Tour 2022, which kicked off on March 8th and winds up on April 18th.

Performing on more than 30 dates in several European cities, Systemhouse33’s founder and frontman Samron Jude also brings in a different line-up this time for the tour. The band’s touring lineup has sometimes changed due to the availability of members and they’re now completed by guitarist Gilroy Fernandes (from erstwhile thrash veterans Sceptre), drummer Nishant Hagjer (previously part of New Delhi metallers Undying Inc and Nepal act Underside) and U.K.-based bassist Maria Kosma. Jude says, “Like so many bands, we’ve been waiting for the world to open up and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour to be on as we support two amazing bands – Nervosa and Burning Witches in Europe […] We’re looking forward to making this a memorable tour as we release new music that we’ve worked on during the lockdowns as well as new merch; and can’t wait to reconnect with our friends and fans in Europe, it’s been too long.”

Just prior to the pandemic, Systemhouse33 had joined Brazilian thrash legends Soulfly for a run of shows through the U.S. in February and March 2020, promoting their 2019 album End of Days. Even their current tour with Nervosa, which was announced in September last year, was pushed back by a month due to the recent Omicron variant causing concerns.

With tours in full swing despite the pandemic around the world, there are still concerns of outbreaks, but it wouldn’t dampen Systemhouse33’s spirit. Hagjer says, “I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this tour and perform with SystemHouse33 and so glad this is finally happening. Very honored and grateful to join the band, we’ve been working on this for over a year. Spent a lot of time in the studio practicing and preparing for the tour and can’t wait to perform with the band live across Europe.”
