Twice Announces Pre-Release English Single ‘Moonlight Sunrise’

The pre-release single will be part of the group's upcoming EP 'Our Youth'

K-pop hitmakers Twice are unstoppable. Following the success of their fourth world tour and their August 2022 release Between 1&2, the girl group is ready to leave an indelible mark this year with a pre-release single and a brand new EP.

Announced earlier today, “Moonlight Sunrise” serves as the pre-release single from the group’s upcoming 12th EP Our Youth. While listeners will be able to enjoy the track on Friday, 20th January, 2023, at 2 pm KST (10.30 am IST), the EP will be released in March. According to iTunes, the track is three minutes long in duration.

“Moonlight Sunrise” serves as the group’s second official English single. Prior to the release of the first on, “The Feels,” Twice released three English versions of tracks originally recorded in Korean — “Cry for Me,” “I Can’t Stop Me,” and “More & More.” Stylized with a retro concept, “The Feels” drew its inspiration from the upbeat era of disco-pop with synth-percussion and infectious guitar riffs. Singing about the exuberant feeling of love at first sight, “The Feels” is a peppy, positive, and lively track that perfectly captured Twice’s charisma: “Cause I can feel a real connection/ A supernatural attraction/ I got the feels for you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.”

“The Feels” was well received by fans and enjoyed a sizeable slice of commercial success too, with the song accumulating 50.9 million global streams and 8,800 global downloads in its first week. It also debuted at the 12th spot on the Billboard Global 200, making it Twice’s highest-performing song on the chart. “The Feels” also became the group’s first song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, landing at 83 and 80 respectively.
