The track is the lead single off the South Korean girl group's brand new EP
South Korean girl group Twice made their much-awaited comeback on June 1st with a brand new EP titled More & More. The release is led by the lead single of the same name and a cheerful, otherworldly music video.
In the video for “More & More,” the members of Twice roam a paradise or tropical Garden of Eden of sorts, surrounded by bright neon foliage and several animals. There’s a bohemian vibe to it all reminiscent of summer music festivals and vacations, and the clip is largely choreography-focused with soaring shots of the group dancing on a gleaming platform on a lake. The absolute highlight is a dubstep-tinged dancebreak at the bridge led by Twice’s main dancer and vocalist Momo.
Co-produced by JYP Entertainment CEO and artist J.Y. Park and American artist MNEK, the lead single “More & More” is a lush, tropical house track built for summer. The lyrics outline a desire to capture the heart of a person who, try as they might, will not be able to resist: “I’m naturally selfish/Sorry if you didn’t know/Let me first apologize ’cause I want you more more/Don’t need your opinion, gonna steal your heart/You will fall for me, you can’t say no no.” The words have slight darkness in their determination which makes for a fascinating contrast with the bubbly tropical house instrumentals. The synth-pop chorus is particularly catchy, especially paired with the group’s dance moves.
More & More is Twice’s ninth EP and the follow-up to their highly successful 2019 release Feel Special.
